Collection: Deutsch Connector kits
Scarlett’s Solutions provides quality deutsch connector kits in three variations - DTM, DT, and DTP. All kits are available with or without the crimp tool. Deutsch connectors are the flagship connector in motorsports wiring due to their reliability, sealing capabilities, and high cyclic life. They are easy to use particularly with our simple crimp tools.
So which kit do you need? The short answer is all of them! In reality, it depends on what you are trying to connect.
DTM connectors are the smallest and most compact. These are useful for low current items such as sensor leads, buttons, etc. DTM connectors are rated at 7 amps per pin. DTM connectors utilize a size 20 contact and 18-24g wires.
DT connectors are the most commonly used and are beneficial in a variety of scenarios. DT connectors are capable of 13 amps per pin so you are able to power smaller electrical items using this series. They are only slightly larger than DTM connectors and are useful for sensor leads and buttons as well. DT connectors use a size 16 contact and 16-20g wire.
DTP connectors are the largest of the group. They are perfect for connecting those hawg leg electric fans, water pumps, and the majority of fuel pumps. DTP connectors are rated at 25 amps per pin and wire gauges 12-16. DTP connectors use a size 12 contact.

It is also worthwhile to note that the crimp tools we sell with each style connector is specific for that connector. The size contact is marked on the corresponding tool making it easy to identify which tool serves which purpose. You can likely make the tool work on a different series contact but it’s not ideal. These tools can also be used with other barrel style connectors like those commonly seen on bulkhead plugs..again, with the appropriately sized contacts.
